Joe Chandler directing on Tricaster with green screen.I am a graduate of Colorado Media School.  Learning the cameras and editing the video captured has been the most helpful thing I attained while at school.  I am aiming to get into film and I am pursuing my path to become a director.  I am continuing to learn the Adobe suite, and I am building my skill set by practicing every day.  There’s always more to learn, and I pick up something new daily.

I moved to Estes Park, CO in February 2008 from Hendersonville, NC.  It’s fantastic to see mountains every day.  It’s also amazing to see how different mountain ranges can be in different areas of the country.  The Blue Ridge Mountains in and around Hendersonville, while beautiful, really don’t measure up when compared to the Rocky Mountains here in Colorado.

Joe Chandler filming on location at Colorado Media School.I left a career of twelve years in construction to pursue something that I have always wanted to do.  I love movies and I want to make my own.  I want to make movies that I would like to see, and make them my way.  I love Sci-fi, action, and comedy movies.  I want to focus on making comedies, and bring my sense of humor to the screen and find my audience.  I believe the world needs more laughter and I want to deliver that with my movies.  I am not politically correct and I can laugh at just about anything.  I am sure I will offend many people with my movies, but you can be sure I will be having fun while doing it.

Leaving my career in construction was a scary move, but I don’t regret it.  I was burnt out with it and I dreaded waking up having to go to work.  Now, I am excited to wake up every day and learn something new that is going to help me get to me to my goal.
